Celebrate New Year's Eve at iconic Sydney Harbour National Park locations
Tickets are now available to bring in the new year at some of the most unique and beautiful venues within Sydney Harbour National Park, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) announced Monday, 3 September.
In 2018, NPWS is again offering a range of ticket prices and experiences on both sides of Sydney harbour and its islands to cater to all tastes and budgets.
“The National Park locations on Sydney Harbour offer something for everyone this New Year’s Eve, from a catered garden party on Clark Island, to an island party with live acts on Shark Island or a family picnic at Goat Island, Bradleys Head or Nielsen Park,” said NPWS Director Visitor Experience, Julie Bishop.
“These iconic harbourside spots – special because of their bushland and heritage settings – will make for a highly memorable end to the year with spectacular views of the harbour and fireworks.”
Shark Island will be transformed into a tropical island paradise –The Shark Island Party – where guests can spread out a rug, relax as the sun goes down, purchase food and drinks, and dance to DJ Lex Deluxe under the palm trees before the midnight fireworks.
For those after an exclusive New Year’s Eve island experience, the Clark Island Garden Party will offer a three-course meal including canapes and a cocktail on arrival, followed by a choice of main meal items and desserts, with drinks available for purchase. A great line-up of DJs will top off a hassle free, exclusive and indulgent New Year’s Eve experience for only 480 people.
More affordable options include the Bradleys Head venues (with adult tickets starting from $35), Nielsen Park ($35), and North Head at Manly with free entry for up to 2000 people.
“Welcoming in the new year while enjoying a night on the harbour in one of our most iconic national parks is a special and memorable way to celebrate with family and friends,” said Ms Bishop.
The Mast Precinct at Bradleys Head, Nielsen Park and North Head are all wheelchair accessible.
For the ticketed venues, adult ticket prices range from $35 to $400, while children’s tickets range from $20 to $245 a ticket (prices do not include booking or transaction fees). Under 5s are free at all venues.
