Free solar seminar for Queanbeyan businesses
Are you a business wanting to know more about solar? Learn how at a free solar seminar at the State Government Building - Farrer Place, Queanbeyan on Thursday 23 June at 7.30am-9am.
The free seminar, hosted by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) aims to help businesses navigate the emerging renewables landscape.
OEH solar expert Lisa Miller said the aim of the seminar is to provide participants with knowledge and information to understand the multitude of solar offers available so people can be confident when making decisions about buying and installing solar products.
“Time poor business owners often find it hard to cut through different sources of information to get an accurate picture of the benefits for their operation,” Ms Miller said.
“The seminar will provide businesses with strategic decision making tools on how to assess the value of solar for their business – whether big or small, and to identify how they can cut costs by adopting an energy efficient approach and introducing solar into their energy supply.
“We know that businesses and households are being inundated with material from companies wanting to install solar panels, and, while most people agree that solar is a good thing, it’s hard to compare these offers.
“The seminar will outline the questions you should ask suppliers if you are thinking about installing solar panels. We will also provide guidance to businesses to help with the calculations on solar.
“People that come to the free seminar will leave with a much clearer understanding as to whether solar is right for them and feel confident that they will know the right questions to ask when working with solar suppliers.”
A free desktop solar analysis will be made available to businesses attending the free seminar.
