Hazard reduction burn in Brindabella National Park postponed

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has postponed a hazard reduction burn which was scheduled for the Brindabella National Park on Saturday 6 March 2021.

Brindabella region, south-east NSW.

The burn will be postponed until the next available opportunity, weather permitting.

The postponement is due to concern that smoke from the hazard reduction burn may have adversely impacted on the winegrape industry, which was affected by last summer's bushfires.

National Parks and Wildlife Service is committed to implementing the outcomes of the NSW Bushfire Inquiry, which includes an increase in hazard reduction activity in high risk areas.
