Hunter businesses encouraged to take on the power of battery storage

Do you want to learn how battery storage technology can help your business save money?

Battery storage systems assist businesses to reach their sustainability goals

Learn from leading energy experts at two new Battery Storage Workshops (to be held at Lake Macquarie on 3 May and at Newcastle on 4 May).

The workshops, provided by the Office of Environment and Heritage, are run by industry experts who deliver hands-on advice and coaching to explain all you need to know about adopting this new technology into your business, OEH Executive Director Ian Hunter said.

“The Battery Storage Workshops help you understand and build a business case for investing in battery systems, assist in navigating potential risks and guide you through the many complex decisions when taking on board a new technology,” Mr Hunter said.

“The workshop is excellent value. It includes personalised, hands-on advice from industry leading trainers who offer customised analysis of your business site for solar PV and battery storage.

“With the industry experts on hand, you’ll benefit from workshopping project ideas and learn how to evaluate market offers and engage suppliers.

“The training starts with an online webinar where you’ll be asked to provide information about your specific business and site data which the course trainers then process ahead of the workshop.

“At the end of the workshop participants can then apply for further post-training. This support is worth up to $3,000 but subsidised at only $300 and delivers one-on-one expert guidance to help you implement your energy efficiency opportunities.

“We are committed to providing businesses with courses that deliver relevant industry advice to help them decide if battery storage is right for their operations,” Mr Hunter said.
