Low level aircraft surveys
The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment will be conducting low level animal surveys across western NSW covering an area of 56,000 square kilometres.
Fixed wing aircraft will be flying at approximately 250 feet above ground, at an approximate speed of 100 knots.
Surveys will occur between 15 June and 24 July 2020, covering areas near Tibooburra, Bourke, Broken Hill, Narrabri, Cobar, Lightning Ridge, Coonabarabran, Griffith, Wentworth, Balranald, Deniliquin and Wagga Wagga.
All surveys follow Covid-19 operational guidelines to ensure community safety.
