South Coast shorebird success and tales
This summer as the south coast welcomes a swathe of visitors to its beaches and lakes, spare a thought for the locals who call the coast home - the endangered beach-nesting birds.

Lower Hunter Spotted Gum Ironbark Forest in the Sydney Basin and NSW North Coast Bioregions has been listed as an endangered ecological community.
In New South Wales this community is currently known to occur in the Sydney Basin and NSW North Coast Bioregions. More information on the species can be found in the Committees' determination – Final Determination (PDF 240KB).
The NSW Threatened Species Scientific Committee assesses which ecological communities are eligible for listing as threatened species.
