Mountain pygmy possum feeding stations

Threatened species officers along with the National Parks and Wildlife Service are entering Kosciuszko National Park to deliver emergency help for the critically endangered mountain pygmy-possum.

The mountain pygmy possum (Burramys parvus) is threatened in NSW

The team constructed 50 food and water stations to help the possums out after bushfires burnt their habitat.

After a fire there is very little food or water available for wildlife so our precious threatened species need a helping hand to survive.
