Have your questions answered at Goulburn’s new Energy Information Hub which opens to the community for the first time on Tuesday 5 June, to coincide with World Environment Day 2018 (5 June).

Simon Wallace-Pannell, Resource Efficiency Team Leader at the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) said the new Energy Information Hub is the ideal place in Goulburn to discover energy savings.

“The Energy Information Hub is a place where you can access helpful information on all aspects of energy. It’s open to anyone who wants to take control of their energy costs,” said Mr Wallace-Pannell.

“To celebrate the opening of the new Energy Information Hub we’ll have on hand an energy expert on Tuesday 5 June so bring along your electricity bill and learn how to reduce your energy usage around your house.

“Come and learn how energy efficient appliances can reduce your power bill, how using energy efficient light fittings can save you money and get a better understanding of the common energy words and jargon.

“The Energy Information Hub has two easy to access computers, along with helpful brochures and guides to show you ways to save money on your energy bills.

“Between 10.30am – 11.30am on Tuesday 5 June we’ll be giving away energy showbags, on a first in, first served basis, containing a selection of energy efficient light globes, fridge thermometers, shower heads,” said Mr Wallace-Pannell.

The Energy Information Hub launches with support from The NSW Government Office of Environment and Heritage. The hub follows the same opening hours as the Goulburn Community College and college staff are on hand to help hub visitors access the computer information.

Mr Wallace-Pannell said the hub will be accessible until December 2018, for people to access free and independent advice on being more energy efficient and cut their energy bills.
