National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) manager Angela Lonergan said Spoon Bay Walking Track will be closed for 3 weeks until 4/8/2017.

"This important upgrade will improve visitor safety to popular area for local residents, surfers and visitors," Ms Lonergan said.

"There will be no pedestrian access during this time from Spoon Bay carpark to Spoon Bay.

"Alternative access to Spoon Bay is via Remembrance Drive, Wamberal.

"We apologise for short term inconvenience however, visitors can still enjoy the vista and watch for passing whales from the Spoon Bay viewing platform which remains open.

"People are reminded dogs are not permitted in the Reserve or on the beach," Ms Lonergan said.
