Based on the analysis, the current air quality monitoring network in the Upper Hunter region will continue to operate by the department, administered by the NSW EPA, and funded by Upper Hunter coal and power industries, in line with the Regulation to ensure the continuity of long-term data and support ongoing air quality evaluation across the region.
