What is the Saving our Species program?

Saving our Species is an innovative statewide conservation program that addresses the growing number of plants and animals in NSW facing extinction.

The program:

  • identifies actions needed conserve each species in the wild for the next 100 years, including the cost of these actions and who should carry them out
  • provides opportunities for collaboration and coordination between partners and the community to achieve conservation goals
  • sets a clear management framework to prioritise projects.
