Are there any good references for weed identification and control?

It is essential to identify weeds correctly to ensure appropriate control. Many native plants resemble well-known weeds and misidentification can result in unintended harm. It may even be illegal to remove native vegetation, even by mistake. If in any doubt, get advice.

Ask an expert

Ask your local council or the catchment management authority (CMA) if you live on a rural or rural/residential property. They have weed specialists who can advise landholders about weeds and may be able to identify the weed from a sample.
