The public register is updated on a regular basis. The register is organised by published date but the excel spreadsheet can be organised/filtered by any field the user chooses.

The register provides information on all Aboriginal heritage impact permit-related decisions processed after 1 October 2010.

The register may be used to identify AHIP applications that have been submitted and any decisions made in relation to those applications in NSW. For example, if you want to undertake an Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment in a particular location in NSW, you can search the AHIP Public Register to determine if previous applications have been submitted and what decisions were made in relation to those. You can also see if there are current AHIPs and applications for new AHIPs that may affect your assessment.

For more information contact the relevant regional office.
