Hourly updated particle concentrations from indicative monitors
Single-channel DustTraks used for stations reporting TSP only. Multi-channel DustTraks used for stations reporting TSP, PM10 and PM2.5.
Most rural network stations use low cost indicative monitors which respond to all aerosols including smoke and fog. Note that instrument accuracy and reliability does not meet Australian Standards, therefore do not interpret the data as pollution or compare with Air NEPM standards without additional information. Reported data has only undergone preliminary automated checks, and further manual validation is performed for data stored in the final OEH database.
Data is mostly collected at 15 minute intervals as the solar-powered instruments need to preserve energy. Data is reported in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), and updates approximately 30 minutes past the hour (e.g. 11:00 values are online at approximately 11:30). Gaps indicate that a pollutant is not measured at the site OR instrument was offline.
