Application has been made for biodiversity certification of land at Lot 461 DP 75526 and Lot 755266, 31 and 41 Kamilaroo Avenue, Lake Munmorah 2259. The application is open for public comment until 18 September 2026.
Biodiversity certification addresses the potential effects of land use change on biodiversity during the early planning stage. The certification process identifies areas that can be developed after they are certified and measures to offset the impacts of development.
This application relates to a proposed residential development in the form of a future manufactured home estate on 9.4 hectares of land containing 1.21 hectares of native vegetation within Lot 461 DP 75526 and Lot 755266 at 31 & 41 Kamilaroo Avenue, Lake Munmorah 2259.
The site is currently zoned RU6: Transitional under the Central Coast Local Environment Plan 2022 and is proposed to be rezoned to RE2 Private Recreation.
As part of the biodiversity certification process, the applicant must make the application available and invite the public to make submissions on the application.
The application and assessment report for land at 31 and 41 Kamilaroo Avenue, Lake Munmorah are available for public consultation from 19 August to 18 September 2026:

After submissions close, the applicant must provide a report to the Department of Climate, Change, Energy, the Environment and Water that includes the applicant’s response to any submissions from the public.
