What are Offset Trading Groups?

Offset Trading Groups define how ecosystem credits can be used to offset impacts on a like-for-like basis.

Offset Trading Groups (OTGs) are groups of Plant Community Types with the same vegetation class and threat status.

Under the like-for-like rules, offsets for impacts to non-threatened vegetation may be met with one or more OTGs with the same vegetation class with the same or a higher threat status.

To find out which OTG a PCT belongs to, please visit:

For threatened ecological communities (TECs), impacts must be offset with the same TEC.
