Accredited assessors

Accredited assessors use the BOS Portal to perform specific tasks related to the Biodiversity Assessment Method. This includes initiating cases in the Biodiversity Assessment Method Calculator (BAM-C) for assessments of credits and credit obligations and data submission.

Certain parts of the BOS Portal are only available to accredited assessors. Access is granted after receiving accreditation.

Access to the BOS Portal

Members of the public (community user)

Members of the public who are not accredited assessors or members of the department may use the BOS Portal if they:

  • are a landholder who is a party to a development (case party) obligation (only the landholder case party to a development assessment case will be able to see credit obligations)
  • are a landholder wishing to list an expression of interest on the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme Credits Supply Register to create and sell biodiversity credits
  • wish to list wanted biodiversity credits.

Accredited assessors sometimes create accounts for members of the public to log into the BOS Portal as a community user. See the community user guide for support or contact us through the BOS Help Desk Online Portal if you need assistance.
