Independent assessment of cultural landscapes from the Great Divide to Eden

The Heritage Council of NSW sought public comment on the Aboriginal cultural heritage values expressed in the State Heritage Register listing for Bundian Way.

Bundian Way is an ancient shared pathway or series of pathways that travels through wilderness areas between the Great Dividing Range and Eden on the NSW south coast.

This consultation was commissioned to address concerns about Aboriginal cultural heritage values expressed about the Bundian Way listing. The consultation ran between November 2020 and March 2021 and is now closed.

Twenty two people were interviewed from local communities including Traditional Owners, Traditional Custodians and Aboriginal groups with a historical connection to the study area.

The Independent assessment of cultural landscapes extending from the Great Divide to Eden: Final report contains the findings and recommendations of the consultation process.
