The Heritage Council invites public comment when it is considering recommending a listing to the Minister for Heritage.
How to comment
- Check the table to see what nominations are open for public comment.
- Prepare your comments. You may want to include whether:
- the item is of State heritage significance and should be listed on the State Heritage Register.
- listing the item on the State Heritage Register would stop it from being used reasonably or economically, or cause financial hardship.
- Go to the Have Your Say page.
- Select 'Planning' in the list of topics in the left-hand menu.
- Select the nomination you want to comment on.
- Read the summary information and privacy statement.
- Submit your comments through the Have Your Say page before the closing date.

What happens next
The Heritage Council will review all comments received before the public exhibition closing date.
Everyone who submitted comments will receive formal notice of the Heritage Council's decision on whether to recommend the listing to the Minister for Heritage and, if a recommendation is made, notice of the Minister's final decision.
