The construction work is well underway at the Conservation Hut visitor precinct (Valley of the Waters). New parking for mini-buses is complete, as well as the construction of accessible pathways, steps and retaining walls. New signage will soon be installed, landscaping completed and ashphalt laid when the weather conditions are right. Unfortunately, there has been a delay in delivering the pre-fabricated structures for the project.
We anticipate the area to reopen in October with improved parking and accessibility, an upgraded lookout and new toilets.
A new lessee is also being sought for the Conservation Hut café.
