Illawarra beaches weekly star ratings

In the Illawarra region, 21 swimming sites are monitored by Sydney Water, Wollongong City and Kiama Municipal councils.

Sydney Water Corporation monitor 18 of the swimming sites, from Austinmer to Werri beach. Samples are collected at Austinmer Beach, Thirroul Beach and Surf Beach Kiama every sixth day from October to April, and all other swimming sites are sampled every sixth day throughout the year.

Wollongong City Council monitor Stanwell Park and Coledale beaches every sixth day from October to April. Kiama Municipal Council monitor Seven Mile Beach every sixth day from November to February.
