School excursions
DECC offers a comprehensive Discovery for schools program for primary and secondary students. All outdoor learning experiences and lesson plans are based on key learning areas. Subjects include national parks, the natural environment and cultural heritage.
You'll find information below on school excursions available throughout the state. If you're interested in taking your students on a Discovery school excursion, you can fill in an inquiry form online. Local staff will then contact you to discuss your requirements and arrange a booking. If you prefer not to use the online form, you can contact local national parks staff directly.

In most cases, 'Discovery for schools' activities take place in a national park or reserve. In some regions outreach activities can be provided at your school. Contact the NPWS office closest to you to discuss your options with your local Discovery Program coordinator.Regions with school excursions
