Knowledge Strategy

The Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) works to ensure that the people of NSW have a healthy environment and can access and enjoy their natural and cultural heritage.

OEH develops, manages and shares knowledge to meet:

OEH is also the main provider of research, expert advice and technical services to the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA).

OEH’s Knowledge Strategy (PDF 404KB) sets out the agency’s priority knowledge needs: the knowledge it requires to carry out its policies and programs, and meet the needs of its customers.

The Knowledge Strategy:

  • lists OEH’s 7 knowledge themes and their associated goals
  • outlines the major OEH programs that address priority knowledge needs
  • identifies opportunities for other organisations to work with OEH.

Knowledge Strategy information sheets

The knowledge themes are described in more detail in individual information sheets.
