Mibanbah Black Rocks campground closed in Bundjalung National Park

Due to a bushfire in the north of Bundjalung National Park, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has closed Mibanbah Black Rocks Campground 1 October, with staff directing visitors to pack up their campsites and leave immediately.

There is a risk that the fire which started south of Evans Head will continue south towards the campground.

All access to Mibanbah Black Rocks Campground and the Jerusalem Creek Day Use Area, via The Gap Road, has been closed to the public.

NPWS and the NSW Rural Fire Service are working together on the incident response.

NPWS apologises for any inconvenience however the safety of national park visitors and staff is the highest priority.
