Wet weather forces temporary closure of parts of Kanangra-Boyd National Park

Wild weather has forced the temporarily closures of parts of Kanangra-Boyd National Park, near Oberon, for the weekend due to high rainfall causing dangerous conditions across the area.

Closed areas include the Dingo Dell Camping area and the below fire trails:

  • Kowmung
  • Banshee
  • Mini Mini
  • Gibralta
  • Budthingaroo

The areas will be re-assessed on Monday and will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so please monitor the alerts and closures page for the park for re-opening updates.

Authorities are requesting that people avoid unnecessary travel.

People are advised to stay safe and avoid affected areas.
