Wet weather forces temporary closure of Worimi Conservation Lands

Worimi Regional Park and Worimi State Conservation Area, at Stockton Bight, has a forced temporary closure due to continued severe rainfall causing dangerous conditions across the region.

The Worimi Conservation Lands closures include: 

  • Gan Gan beach access, Lavis Lane and Fern Bay beach accesses which are all impassable
  • access to the recreational vehicle area is closed until water subsides
  • Ganyamalbaa campground is closed until 1 July for rehabilitation and repairs.

These areas will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.

Authorities are requesting that people avoid unnecessary travel. People are advised to stay safe and avoid affected areas.
