Regional studies cover a broad geographic area. All existing information about flora and/or fauna is pulled together to build a regional picture of conservation issues for use in planning and management.
Greater Southern Sydney
A large study covering the entire southern Blue Mountains, south-west Sydney and northern Illawarra, this project mapped fauna habitats, corridors and prioritised threatened species for conservation action.
You can download a general audience report or accompanying technical reports. A companion project for the fauna of Greater Northern Sydney is planned for the near future.
