The BioNet Vegetation Classification website application is the trusted source of the NSW Plant Community Type (PCT) Master Classification and associated statutory data as well as NSW Landscapes data.

In October 2016, a major upgrade to the NSW plant community type took effect for the Sydney Metropolitan region with the publication of the approved classification changes in the BioNet Vegetation Classification database.

The release brings into alignment the approved plant community types and the Sydney Metropolitan Area Native Vegetation Map (VIS_ID 3817).

These release notes summarize the main updates to Plant Community Types.
