Coffs Coast Regional Park is of high ecological significance and protects small areas of eight threatened ecological communities, native plant species and threatened species habitat, including the only population of the endangered low-growing form of the small shrub Zieria smithii.

The park provides for a range of recreational opportunities including whale watching, cycling, dog walking, horse riding and adventure activities. The Coffs Coast Regional Park Plan of Management will assist in managing recreational activities to enhance the visitor experience while protecting the park's important natural and cultural values.

This is the first plan of management for the park and was developed in consultation with the Coffs Coast Regional Park Trust Board.
