Review of Environmental Factors: Upgrades to Clarence Sands Quarry access road

Clarence Sands Pty Ltd seeks approval for upgrade and sealing of parts of Old Bells Line of Road in Clarence, NSW. The Project Area currently provides access to the Clarence Sand Quarry under Forestry Corporation Permit MIN100022. The Project Area is largely owned by NSW National Parks & Wildlife Services (NPWS) and it is understood that the Permit is to be transferred to NPWS.

This review of environmental factors describes and assesses the possible impact on the environment from a proposal by Clarence Sands to seal Old Bells Line of Road through Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area. These works are proposed to improve access to their quarry (located on neighbouring land). The National Parks and Wildlife Service has decided to approve this proposal, subject to conditions as outlined in the decision statement.
