Sydney Harbour National Park Plan of Management
Sydney Harbour National Park protects nearly 400 hectares of foreshores, headlands and islands on Sydney Harbour – one of Australia’s most iconic and recognisable landscapes. Despite its relatively small size and location in Australia’s largest city, the park retains extraordinarily diverse and significant natural, cultural and historic heritage values. The park also contains some of Sydney’s most valued sites for outdoor recreation, special events and celebrations.
The plan of management presents outcomes and actions aimed at protecting the park’s natural, cultural and heritage values, building partnerships with communities, and providing opportunities for exploration and understanding of Australia’s past and continuing cultural heritage.
This plan of management should be read with the Sydney Harbour National Park Plan of Management Amendment (2021).
