This document outlines the legislative regime for including threatened species on the regulatory maps and the effect this has on how proposed development is assessed and managed. It describes processes for developing threatened species maps to include in the regulatory maps and assist with applying components of the Biodiversity Assessment Method.
Guide for mapping threatened species for inclusion in the NSW regulatory framework
The Biodiversity Values Map and Native Vegetation Regulatory Map are part of the regulatory framework for managing impacts of development and rural land management on biodiversity. The habitat of certain threatened species is eligible to be included on these maps.
