Ngambaa Nature Reserve has been selected as a site for the establishment of a feral predator-free area and the return threatened and declining species. It has been selected because it conserves regionally significant vegetation communities, including old growth habitats of high quality which are suitable for a number of threatened fauna species. The preferred location for the feral predator-free area was selected to maximise the conservation benefit while taking into account practical and socioeconomic factors.

This amendment should be read in conjunction with the Ngambaa Nature Reserve Plan of Management (2004).

First published in April 2021; reprinted April 2021 with amendment to the closing date.
