This report documents the procedures followed to establish soil monitoring sites in New South Wales as part of a statewide network to monitor long-term changes in soil condition and land management.

Soil condition and land management were 2 of 13 natural resource targets recommended by the Natural Resources Commission in 2005 and adopted by the NSW Government in 2006.
