From 1 July 2026, the Development Coordination Authority will become the central point of contact for all planning matters under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. The Authority brings together technical experts from 14 NSW Government agencies to provide coordinated advice and approvals during the development assessment process, including heritage considerations.
