This project comprises significant internal and external conservation works, coupled with a major people-centred re-interpretation of the Mosque Museum. The aim is to preserve the unique tangible heritage of Australia’s early cameleers for the inspiration, education and enjoyment of future generations.

A series of initiatives will be explored as part of the interpretation planning process. The Maitland Jewish Cemetery Friends Group will ensure that a meaningful and community based approach informs the development of interpretation outcomes.
