Comment on applications

Submit comments on section 60 works applications made under the Heritage Act 1977 which are advertised.

 

Certain applications for works or activities are advertised when we or the Heritage Council decides that:

  • the proposal may materially affect the significance of the State Heritage Register item
  • it is in the public interest
  • the application has not already been advertised by a local council as part of an integrated development application.

Notice is hereby given, under Section 61 of the Heritage Act 1977 that the Heritage Council of NSW has received an application (HMS ID 10607) for development within the curtilage of the State Heritage Register item Bourke Street Congregational Church and School (Former), 411A Bourke Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010 (SHR no. 00382) made under the Heritage Act.

Description of the proposal as per the section 60 application form: Restoration and conservation of primary facade to church and introduction of central doorway.

The Heritage Council of NSW invites written submissions regarding the proposal. Note that if a submission is made by way of objection, the reasons for objection must be specified in the submission. Unless you state otherwise, contents of your submission may also be provided to the applicant or other interested parties in some circumstances.

Description of the proposal as per the s60 application form: Rushcutters Bay Park Youth Recreation area is a junior facility that includes a basketball space, scooter and skate elements, shelter, seating and landscaping. It provides an option for young people to recreate in an area currently not provided for.

Notice is hereby given, under Section 61 of the Heritage Act 1977 that the Heritage Council of NSW has received an application (HMS ID 11262) for the Richmond Road M7 to Townson Road upgrade (RRM7). The project will involve partial construction within the curtilage of the State Heritage Register item Blacktown Native Institute (BNI) (SHR no. 01866) made under the Heritage Act.

Description of the proposal as per the section 60 application form: Widening Richmond Road to six lanes within part of the BNI curtilage from the M7 Interchange including all activities linked to road construction. The design includes a new flyover from the M7 and a new bridge across Bells Creek.
