Gundabooka National Park and Gundabooka State Conservation Area are located 50 kilometres south of Bourke, and are highly significant to the Ngemba, Baakandji and Kurnu Baakandji people of western NSW. Gundabooka National Park features an outstanding complex of Aboriginal art, and includes Mount Gunderbooka, one of the most outstanding geological features of the Bourke area. The parks protect a culturally significant outback landscape and contain extensive grassy woodlands which are important for conservation of the region’s biodiversity.
