North-eastern surveys
The NPWS has been carrying out extensive surveys in north-eastern NSW since 1992. These include:
North East Forests Biodiversity Survey
This was a survey of selected groups of vertebrates, invertebrates and vegetation in the region bounded by the Queensland border to the north, the Hunter River in the south and the New England Highway in the west.
NRAC Studies in North East NSW
This was a survey of selected vertebrates and vegetation funded as part of the Regional Audit of Upper North East NSW. The project was conducted by the Natural Resources Audit Council (now called RACAC).
