Conservation programs

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is committed to the protection and conservation of high conservation value lands.

These pages set out information about the Department's conservation programs.

Existing agreements

If you have an existing agreement, including conservation agreements under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974, trust agreements under the Nature Conservation Trust Act 2001 and BioBanking agreements under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995, these agreements will be carried over and remain in place and will be managed by the BCT. This means that properties protected under a permanent conservation agreement will continue to be protected in perpetuity.

For more information visit the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust.
