Scheyville National Park proposed licence

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service invites you to give feedback on the proposed grant of a licence by 20 October 2025.

What is the proposed licence?

We propose to grant Hunter Anzac Memorial Limited (HAML), ACN 623 275 196, a licence of the building known as the Farm Manager's House, which is located on Memorial Drive in Scheyville National Park.

The proposed licence area is depicted in the image below and includes the Farm Manager's House and the front yard area, which is fenced.

HAML has an existing licence over some buildings and outdoor areas in Scheyville Camp Precinct and a licence over Long Tan Place House. The existing licences provide for:

  • the operation of a public museum, where exhibits show the multilayered history of the park and associated community activities
  • a residence for a caretaker.

The proposed licence would allow HAML to undertake works to refurbish the licence area and remove more recent additions to the building. Once the works are completed, the licence would then enable HAML to occupy the licence area and use it as an office to support its public museum operations in Scheyville Camp Precinct.

Under the proposed licence, occupation is for an initial term of approximately 10 years and there are 2 options to extend for 5 years, with the total term being approximately 20 years.
