Draft Kosciuszko National Park wild horse heritage management plan: public consultation

Community feedback on the draft plan closed on 2 November 2021.

The draft plan was prepared to meet the requirements of the Kosciuszko Wild Horse Heritage Act 2018.

Thank you to all community members and stakeholders that provided comment. Submissions are currently being considered.

When will the plan be finalised?

At the close of the public exhibition period, we consider all submissions on the draft plan and prepare a submissions report. Multiple submissions received by the same author will be counted as a single submission.

The Minister for Energy and Environment considers the plan, submissions and advice, makes any necessary changes and decides whether to adopt the plan under the Kosciuszko Wild Horse Heritage Act 2018.

Once a plan is adopted, it is published on the department's website, and key stakeholders, including those who made a submission on the draft plan, will be notified.
