NSW Alpine Resorts Environmental Performance Report

This annual performance report outlines how the ski resort businesses and the National Parks and Wildlife Service work together to maintain park values and manage environmental impacts at Kosciuszko National Park.

The Kosciuszko National Park Plan of Management (2006) provides a framework of objectives, principles and policies to guide the management of park values at Kosciuszko National Park. The plan requires the alpine resorts to operate under an environmental management system (EMS) and report annually on performance. The EMS helps operators understand, monitor and manage environmental impacts.

The NSW Alpine Resorts Environmental Performance Report is a collaborative effort between the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), the four main NSW ski resort operators (Charlotte Pass Village Pty Ltd, Kosciuszko Thredbo Pty Ltd, Perisher Blue Pty Ltd and Selwyn Snowfields Pty Ltd) and the accommodation providers at Perisher. The annual report outlines the environmental performance, achievements and initiatives.
