Schedules of the Threatened Species Conservation Act

The schedules of the Threatened Species Conservation Act give a complete list of:

  • all species and ecological communities listed as critically endangered in NSW under the Act
  • all species and ecological communities listed as endangered in NSW under the Act
  • all species listed as presumed extinct in NSW under the Act
  • all populations listed as endangered in NSW under the Act
  • all species and ecological communities listed as vulnerable in NSW under the Act
  • all key threatening processes listed in NSW under the Act.

The schedules are maintained by the NSW Scientific Committee. They are available from the NSW Legislation website, and are updated regularly, whenever the Scientific Committee makes a determination to:

  • add or remove species, populations, ecological communities and key threatening processes
  • amend the names or descriptions of species, populations or ecological communities.

Minor amendments to the Schedules of the Threatened Species Conservation Act

Under Section 36A of the Threatened Species Conservation Act the Scientific Committee can make determinations to make minor amendments to the Schedules which relate to the description of species or to correct any minor errors in the Schedules.
