OEH Information Centre (Sydney CBD)
Visit the OEH Information Centre or call our Environment Line for information on a wide variety of conservation and environmental topics, including:
- air quality
- hazardous materials
- legislation and environment protection licensing in NSW
- national parks and reserves
- noise
- pesticides
- threatened species
- waste disposal
- water
- OEH publications.
The Information Centre can also assist with a wide range of environmental problems, such as neighbourhood noise and other pollution incidents not under the immediate jurisdiction of OEH. Fact sheets, technical guides and referral advice can be provided on these issues.
Our customers include industry representatives, consultants, students and the general public.
Reporting pollution and other incidents
The Information Centre receives reports on:
- pollution occurring in NSW, where OEH has a direct regulatory role
- excessively smoky and noisy vehicles registered in NSW
- littering from vehicles registered in NSW.

Reports of pollution incidents where OEH has a direct regulatory role, and reports relating to motor vehicles, are taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
