Eco Schools resources for applicants

Your project should provide curriculum based learning opportunities for students across a range of key learning areas. A collection of resources, based on previously successful grants, is provided here to help you develop your project ideas. The examples demonstrate how a range of environmental project categories can be linked to the curriculum.

You will be asked to select a project category when submitting your Eco Schools application form, but you can draw ideas from more than one category. Your project might explore the environment through Aboriginal culture, using Indigenous culture and knowledge as a framework for learning about the environment. You can find ideas for this under either the biodiversity or gardens categories. A study of sustainability might find ideas under all categories.

Examples have also been provided to demonstrate how schools have delivered projects for students with special needs, and how schools have worked with community organisations to add depth to student learning.
