Native vegetation research

The Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) undertakes research to determine the type, extent and condition of native vegetation across NSW for statewide environmental reporting. The work is also assessing the pressures on our vegetation to help manage this vital resource.

Our scientists undertake work on the ecology of plants, including threatened species. They are assessing the impacts of threats to vegetation such as climate change and bushfire.

OEH also undertakes research to understand and better manage weeds.
