Rail infrastructure noise guideline draft for consultation

The purpose of this draft guideline is to assist the ongoing expansion of rail transport by streamlining approval processes for rail infrastructure.

The draft is open for public consultation. When the consultation process is complete, the comments received will be used to revise the Rail infrastructure noise guideline.

The final guideline is intended to replace the 2007 publication, Interim guideline for the assessment of noise from rail infrastructure projects.

For a summary of the difference between the two guidelines, see the key changes.
