History

The Acme was a timber schooner driven ashore at Seal Rocks Bay with the Flirt and the Hoolet on 16 July 1876. Anchored in the bay to pass out a storm, all three vessels were later seen "broken up to pieces as small as firewood".

Acme was a two-masted timber top-sail schooner owned by Edward Davis, shipwright. Tonnage of 55 tons gross and length of 20.57 metres. Built at Brisbane Waters, NSW in 1876 by the owner. Registered in Sydney as 14 of 1876. Official Number 73348. Wreck site not located.
