History

On the 11th of May 1933 the Eden was scuttled in the Sydney Disposal Area after being converted to a hulk.  The Eden was an ex-Illawarra & South Coast Steam Navigation Co vessel.  The 60-metre steel screw steamer, powered by a 25 hp compound engine and weighing 693 tons was used for coastal cargo and passengers.  Built in 1900 by Russell & Co, Pt Glasgow, Scotland, the Eden was registered in Sydney and owned by William Waugh.
